Skin Resurfacing
Facial skin is almost always exposed to the elements, and is therefore particularly susceptible to damage that causes age spots, uneven skin tone and wrinkles. Additionally, skin conditions such as acne and rosacea can make skin appear rough and uneven. Through resurfacing of the skin, we can combat sun damage, acne scarring and rosacea, and help reduce lines and wrinkles. Dr. Comeau offers several resurfacing treatments, as well as skin care products that can help uncover smoother, more youthful looking skin.
Laser Resurfacing
Dr. Comeau offers several resurfacing treatments including CO2 Laser Resurfacing, BBL/IPL Laser Treatments, and Microlaser Peels. CO2 Laser Resurfacing is a procedure that goes deep into the skin and does come with some downtime, however patients have seen amazing results in skin tone improvement, wrinkle reduction, acne scar reduction and even stimulation of their own collagen. BBL/IPL Laser Treatments are less invasive and come with little to no downtime. These treatments are effective in improving skin tone, reducing age spots and helping to reduce the redness associated with rosacea. Microlaser Peels are minimally invasive and are done primarily to remove the outermost layer of the skin for a simple ‘refresh’. Not all skin tones and types are ideal for laser treatments. Dr. Comeau meets with patients to evaluate their needs and assess whether they are a candidate for laser skin treatments.
