Sculptra Aesthetic

Sculptra Aesthetic is not your typical dermal filler. Not a quick fix, but a long-lasting, collagen building filler that lasts up to 2 years or more*. Sculptra Aesthetic is the first injectable dermal facial filler that works with your skin to rebuild lost collagen, giving you a natural, more youthful look.

Collagen is a key structural component of the skin. In our youth, collagen is abundant. As we age, collagen production lessens, giving way to fine lines and wrinkles. Sculptra Aesthetic works deep beneath the skin’s surface to gradually stimulate your own collagen production and provide a more youthful appearance.

Typically patients can expect an average of three injections over the period of a few months. View before and after photos of Sculptra Aesthetic patients and you will see that they appear to have gone back in time!

Made from poly-L-lactic acid, Sculptra Aesthetic is used in the nasolabial folds – or marionette lines – and other deep facial wrinkles** to replace lost collagen. To learn more about Sculptra Aesthetic, including product safety, visit www.sculptraaesthetic.com

Sculptra Aesthetic – A Collagen Stimulator

Sculptra Aesthetic MDWhen it comes to treating facial wrinkles with injectables, there are three types – neuromodulators, Traditional Fillers and Collagen Stimulators.

Neuromodulators

Neuromodulators such as Botox and Dysport work by temporarily weakening muscles which relaxes the face and minimizes lines. Most often used in the forehead, results from neuromodulator injectables are visible in one to two weeks.

Traditional Fillers

Traditional liquid or gel dermal fillers such as hyaluronic acid are injected directly into lines and wrinkles, filling the space to plump the area.

Collagen Stimulators

Collagen stimulators diminish facial wrinkles by restoring the underlying structure of the skin.

Sculptra Aesthetic is a collagen stimulator used to correct nasolabial folds (smile lines) and other facial wrinkles. It is made from a synthetic material called poly-L-lactic acid. Sculptra is gradually absorbed naturally by the body as it works to replace collagen. For decades, poly-L-lactic acid has been used in materials such as dissolvable stitches. As a facial injectable, poly-L-lactic acid has been used since 1999 in more than 30 countries. Sculptra Aesthetic does not require allergy testing prior to treatment.
